My practice spawns from an augmented reality which I visualize by connecting digital technologies with sculpture. In the present, I feel consumed by manufactured objects, virtual entities, and an advanced network of data. The analog and digital spaces mesh, fueling both my paranoia and optimism, where everyday life becomes artificial and absurd. I gesture toward the objectification of the body, how bodies are utilized for accessing interfaces, and I speculate on what it means to be connected. In the midst of navigating a digital ecosystem, my work materializes as an ambient space for pause and reflection, and perhaps eventually generates alternative world-building.
